Executive Director
Wendy Hays
Wendy is the Executive Director of LOQW, Inc. Wendy has been been with LOQW for 20 years. She has been employed in agencies working with people who have a disability since the early 1970's. Wendy professionally services on a state wide committee for Vocational Rehabilitation and the Personal Independence Council, appointed by Governor Blunt. She is a member of MO Anchor, APSE MO and MACCDDS (MO Association for County Developmental Disability Services). Wendy is certified through MO Rehabilitation Services as a Employment Specialist. She also has successfully completed the Rehabilitation Administration Certificate Program. She has completed the College of Direct Support classes to receive certification recommended by the Department of Mental Health. She also is ACRE certified in the employment field.
Director of Employment and Community Services
Melissa Johns

Melissa (Missy) Johns is the Director of Employment & Community Services for LOQW, Inc. Melissa is responsible for the overall operation of both the Employment and Community Skills Programs for LOQW. In this position she oversees all aspects of these programs for the agency's 14 county coverage area in Northeast Missouri. Her responsibilities include oversight of program delivery, personnel, quality assurance, strategic planning (both short term and long range planning), and organizational accreditation efforts. She has nearly 20 years of experience in employment and community services for persons with disabilities. Her talents and experience are varied, ranging from providing direct service, to staff training and program oversight. She has experience with services to people of all ages, early childhood through retirement. Melissa places a strong focus on training and continuing education efforts, both for herself and her employees. Her personal accomplishments include receiving her Rehabilitation Administration Certification through the University of MO (CRP-RCEP) and most recently receiving the National ACRE Certification (National Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators).
Melissa has served three terms of the APSE-MO Board (one term as a past Board Member, one term as past Board Secretary, and currently serving as Board Treasurer).
