Community Life Engagement refers to supporting people with disabilities to access and participate in their communities as part of a meaningful day. LOQW believes that all individuals can and should participate as active members of their communities contributing to its diversity and vibrancy.
Home support includes training to obtain skills necessary to live independently in a healthy and safe environment. Home support activities may include cooking, cleaning, shopping for home supplies, and budgeting.
Employment support provides training to build the skills necessary to succeed in competitive paid employment and reach employment goals. Services may include prevocational sills development, job development, career planning, or on-the-job supports.
Community Support
Community support activities may include volunteer work, accessing community facilities such as a local library, gym, or recreation center, participation in retirement or senior activities, and other activities agreed upon in your plan.
